Our Return Policy
We understand that sometimes items may not meet your expectations. We offer a generous 30-day return window for most items, with special considerations for handmade and custom Indigenous artisan products.
Return Timeline
- Standard Items: 30 days from delivery date
- Handmade Artisan Products: 14 days from delivery date
- Custom or Personalized Items: Returns accepted only if item is defective
- Sacred or Ceremonial Items: Final sale - no returns
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- In original condition with all packaging
- Unused and unworn (except for trying on)
- Free from damage not caused by shipping
- Accompanied by original receipt or order confirmation
How to Return Items
- Contact Us: Email our customer service team at returns@indigenousmarketplace.com or call 1-800-NATIVE-1 within the return window
- Receive Return Authorization: We'll provide a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number and prepaid shipping label
- Package Securely: Pack items carefully in original packaging when possible
- Ship Back: Use the provided prepaid label and drop off at any authorized shipping location
Exchanges
We offer exchanges for different sizes or colors when available. Exchange requests follow the same timeline as returns. If the new item costs more, you'll pay the difference. If it costs less, we'll refund the difference.
Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive your return
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
- Return shipping is free when using our provided label
Special Considerations for Artisan Products
Many of our products are handcrafted by Indigenous artisans. Each piece is unique, and slight variations in color, texture, or size are part of their authentic character. Please consider these natural variations when making your purchase decision.
For custom commissioned pieces, we encourage detailed communication with the artisan before purchase to ensure the final product meets your expectations.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at support@indigenousmarketplace.com with photos of the damage. We'll work quickly to resolve the issue with a replacement, repair, or full refund.
